Green eston lentils

Even if they are small, these lentils are really packed with flavour and texture, both of which remain intact even after cooking.

These small green lentils come from a Canadian province with a long tradition of growing pulses. The sun, climate and soil conditions favour natural production of the highest quality. The cold winters not only protect the lentils, but also ensure their preservation. AMÍO small lentils are tiny and green, and are particularly appreciated for their intense flavour and ability to remain intact even after cooking.

Lentils are a great alternative to animal protein, especially if combined with cereals. In addition to their attractive colour and delicious taste, they are a valuable source of protein, carbohydrates and mineral salts, as can be seen in the daily reference intake (RI%). Did you know that 70g of these lentils provide approximately 33%* of your daily protein requirement?

Consigli di utilizzo

These lentils do not require soaking. However, we recommend rinsing them in cold water before placing them in a pot with 500ml of water for each 100g of lentils.

Allow around 70g per person: bring to a boil before covering and cooking on a low heat for 30-35 min.

Once cooked, add salt for flavour and to prevent the lentils becoming hard and crunchy. If using a pressure cooker, the cooking time should be halved.
