Laird green lentils

In the flavour of these lentils you find the hot sun and the richness of the soil from which they are cultivated.

These large green lentils come from a Canadian province with a long tradition of growing pulses.
The climate, marked by long sunny days, and soil conditions favour natural production of the highest quality.
The cold winters not only protect the lentils but also ensure their preservation.
AMÍO large green lentils have a delicate flavour and a soft, luxurious consistency.

Lentils are a great alternative to animal protein, especially if combined with cereals. In addition to their attractive colour and delicious taste, they are a valuable source of protein, carbohydrates and mineral salts, as can be seen in the daily reference intake (RI%). Did you know that 70g of these lentils provide approximately 33%* of your daily protein requirement?

Suggestions for use

These lentils do not require soaking. However, we recommend rinsing them in cold water before placing them in a pot with 500ml of water for each 100g of lentils.

Allow around 70g per person: bring to a boil before covering and cooking on a low heat for 40-45 min.

Once cooked, add salt for flavour and to prevent the lentils becoming hard and crunchy.
